MMI currently has Sebastian Mine project underway.
The Sebastian Mine is located near Hartford, AR in Sebastian County, AR approximately 30 miles south of Fort Smith, AR and reserves contain an estimated 30 million tons of recoverable Low Volatile Metallurgical grade coal. Sebastian Mine has its present coal production capacity of 400,000 TPY producedfrom the Hartshorne coal seam.
Sebastian Mine utilizes continuous miner mining methods to extract the raw coal which is then beneficiated through the onsite heavy media prep plant. (400tph).Sebastian Mine's annual production capacity is projected to be doubled by an additional continuous miner section during the current fiscal year. Further expansion in the production capacity is envisioned in the following years.
The clean product of Sebastian Mine is shipped to customers via truck, direct, truck to barge or truck to railroad cars, is currently loading barges near Van Buren, AR on the Arkansas River MP 299 then transported for vessel loading on the Lower Mississippi River near NOLA.
